Thinking of buying a new home?

 

Buying a house is the most expensive investment a person make in his or her life. When it comes to a new home, a buyer has many questions: how much initial investment is needed, what features will it have, how many rooms, washrooms, will there be a home theatre, will it have latest home automation technology etc. CCL will be happy to answer any question you have if you call us directly. But here are some frequently asked question from the new home buyer’s perspectives.

 

Question: Why do I want to buy a new home? What advantage does it have?

 

Answer:  The answer is simple: older house has older technologies and the new house has latest technologies. The energy efficiency has come a long way, also new floor, new paint, new roof, energy efficient windows and doors, HVAC with HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation) etc. are notable features. Also, you have the chance to customize the house in your own way which is less expensive than renovating an existing house.

 

Question: what is the difference between custom house and non-custom house?

 

Answer: Main difference is the number choice that you may have in the building process. Custom house has customer’s choice written everywhere. Such as the colour of shingles, brick, stone, hardwood, inside painting, tiles. Also, in custom house with brand new appliances, plumbing, heating, and air, you should be repair free for at least a few years.

 

Question: How long does it take to build a new house?

 

Answer: it takes anywhere from 8 months to 12 months to finish a custom home. Whereas it takes about 5 months to 7 months for a production house.

 

Question: How do I purchase a new house?

 

Answer: You have two options. You can either sign a contract with CCL before the construction starts. In this case you will have options to select design, colour, appliances, materials etc. The second option is that you can buy a finished house built by CCL. In either case, the house will have full statutory warranty and CCL’s guarantee.
